SANTA PARADES
It’s that time of year!
South Placer Firefighters will be escorting Santa around our district in December! You will find him out and about every Friday & Saturday from 5 pm to 7 pm during the month of December, except in the Town of Loomis where he makes his appearance during the morning hours on the Saturday before Christmas starting at 8 am.
We are collecting new unwrapped toys, as well as unopened canned goods, throughout our parades, so if you have something to donate bring it with you to give to the big guy! If it is actively raining we are unable to escort Santa, so let’s keep our fingers crossed for good weather!

Fire Hazard Severity Zones
Per Government Code 51178.5, the South Placer Fire District has 30 days after receiving a transmittal from the State Fire Marshal that identifies fire hazard severity zones, pursuant to Section 51178, to make the information available for public review and comment. We have made the information easily accessible for you. In the links below, you will find a map identifying the three Fire Hazard Severity Zones (moderate, high, and very high) in the Local Response Area and a document to answer your questions about these zones, including how they were developed, why they are now being used, and what they mean to you, as a homeowner and community member. If you have questions, comments, or concerns, please use the contact form on our website, send an email to pio@southplacerfiredistrict.org or attend a district board meeting to ask our administrative staff about the map.
