I am truly honored to serve as Fire Chief of the South Placer Fire District. This opportunity to lead such a dedicated organization is both humbling and inspiring. I am deeply grateful for the trust and support shown by our line staff, our Board of Directors, and the community we proudly serve.
As a long-time resident of this district, South Placer is not just where I work, it is my home. This personal connection strengthens my commitment to ensuring this department continues to deliver the highest level of service, professionalism, and care to our community. I am driven to make South Placer Fire District the very best it can be for both our residents and our members.
Our philosophy and core values must be more than words. These principles will guide our actions every day. I am committed to aligning our decisions, operations, and leadership with those values to build and sustain trust throughout the organization and the community. Together, we will define a new era for the South Placer Fire District. This new era will be one that is trusted, respected, and recognized as a destination fire department.
As we celebrate our 75th year as a professional fire district, SPFD will honor the legacy built by those who came before us. At the same time, we are embracing the future with a new command team that is energetic, motivated, and brings a fresh perspective. This leadership team represents a balance of experience and innovation, ready to address both long-standing challenges and emerging needs with clarity and purpose.
Strong leadership begins with trust. We will foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and respect within our organization and throughout the community. A continued commitment to exceptional training will remain a cornerstone of our mission, ensuring the safety of both our firefighters and the public we serve. Through collaboration with neighboring agencies, we will pursue expanded training opportunities and progressive strategies that enhance operational effectiveness and firefighter safety on the fireground.
SPFD is equally dedicated to honoring the proud history and culture of the fire service while remaining progressive and innovative. Fiscal responsibility is a key priority, and we are committed to building a financially resilient department positioned to meet the needs of future generations.
Above all, South Placer Fire District exists to serve our community. When you need us, you can be confident that our members will respond quickly, efficiently, and professionally. I have complete confidence in the skill, dedication, and commitment of our members which make our mission possible every day. SPFD’s firefighters will excel in their ability to rise to the challenges and opportunities ahead.
It is a privilege to lead this exceptional team. Together, we will continue to place our community and citizens at the forefront of everything we do.
